ALIGN 2 - ALIGNING STAKEHOLDERS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF FALLS AND FRAILTY ACROSS NORTH WEST LONDON
A PARTNERSHIP IN INNOVATION AND EDUCATION (PIE)
Health Education North West London has funded the development of a partnership in innovation and education (PIE) on falls and frailty across North West London which is being led by AHS. The project scope includes:
- Spreading the innovation, best practice and shared learning gathered about falls management through the Allied Health Professions Innovative Learning Network for Falls Management (ALIGN) across a wider geography in North West London (NWL) including Brent, Harrow and Ealing.
- Supporting and developing primary care teams in the management of falls and frailty through the primary care networks in the CCGs in NWL through the integration of Allied Health Professionals into the primary care networks.
- Support and develop care home workers in the management of falls and frailty
DEVELOPMENT OF AN OUTCOME TOOL FOR THE BRITISH DIETETIC ASSOCIATION ONCOLOGY INTEREST GROUP
AHS have been commissioned to develop an outcomes tool for oncology dietitians.
DEVELOPMENT OF A REFERENCE GUIDE ABOUT THE ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL WORKFORCE AND THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE
FOR HEALTH EDUCATION ENGLAND NORTH WEST LONDON
ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT WORKER POLICY LANDSCAPE - THE SWAP PROJECT
Health Education North Central and East London has funded the Allied Health Enterprise Development Centre (AHEDC) to undertake a 12 month project (July 2015-June 2016) to develop a greater understanding of the way in which allied health services, based in North Central and East London, currently employ and deploy support workers.
There are a number of features to this project:
- Raising the awareness of the local Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) with regards to current support worker policy landscape.
- Mapping of the current support worker roles in services delivered by AHPs
- Identification of potential new roles for support workers and apprenticeships in these services
- Collating information about the current education, training and development opportunities for this workforce.
MAPPING THE CURRENT AND POTENTIAL CONTRIBUTION OF THE ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT WORKERS TO PUBLIC HEALTH.
This work, funded by Public Health England, is to develop a snapshot of the current and potential contribution of AHP support workers to public health.
DEVELOPMENT OF A HEALTH ECONOMIC MODEL FOR AHPS
AHS in partnership with health economists and senior AHPs nationally and internationally are developing a model to support AHPs to demonstrate the economic impact of the work that they do.
