Allied Health Solutions has undertaken a number of bespoke clinical leadership development programmes for AHPs and nurses, including:

• Six cohorts of a senior nursing and AHP programme across the Wessex Cancer Alliance
• Senior diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers programme across the HEE South East region
• Barts Health NHS Trust AHP leadership development programme
• Five cohorts of a clinical leadership programme for senior AHPs for Health Education England North Central and East London
• Two cohorts for Hillingdon Community Healthcare focussed on senior AHPs.

These programmes focus on participants:

1. Understanding their own leadership competencies, leadership styles, Belbin team roles and how to further develop effective skills, knowledge and expertise;
2. Applying system wide thinking to identify solutions to issues in their services;
3. Developing an understanding of the importance of clinical, transformational and compassionate leadership in teams to support and nurture staff, enhance business performance and promote equality, diversity and inclusion;
4. Developing influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills to increase their visibility and profile across clinical networks, clinical boards and other forums;
5. Creating the conditions for them and their staff to innovate;
6. Reflecting on and share their leadership journeys with the group through service challenges and improvements;
7. Identifying how fit for purpose their services and workforce are for current health care demands, needs and the importance of evidence to support this.
